Highgate
View east towards the embankment carrying the Parkland Walk footpath, formerly the ex-GNR Alexandra Palace line, that is currently but temporarily split in two at this location, due to the rebuilding of the bridge over Stanhope Road at Highgate. This view is at 17.07 on Bank Holiday Monday, 26th August 2024 and no sign of any workmen. The original rail bridge carried a double track line but this was replaced by a single track footbridge when the line was converted into the footpath in 1984, 30 years after the line closed to passengers after almost becoming part of the London Underground Northern Line.
