Highams Park, London Overground since 2015, first and last stop from and to Chingford, looking towards the terminus at 14.29 on a sunny Saturday, 5th October 2024. This opened as Hale End Halt in 1873 with the extension from the 1870 terminus at Shern Hall Street (replaced by Wood Street at the same time) to the first Chingford station (replaced by the present in 1878). It was upgraded to a station and renamed Higham's Park & Hale End in 1894 and became simply Highams Park (with no apostrophe before the "s") in 1969 at the start of BR's mania for shortening station names with an "&" in them.
