Thornton Yard
08732 is the Thornton Yard pilot in 1983. It was still busy here with Speedlink traffic and coal services. I note in 1974 08732 was an Eastfield loco but by 1976 it was based at Haymarket. At some point, 1983 I think, it became a Dunfermline loco and then reallocated to Thornton Junction itself. My 1986 book shows it as a Motherwell loco. All very interesting but very much a Scottish 08.
