North Pier [Tram]

Blackpool Centenary Car 642 pauses on the old centre road at North Pier before heading back towards the Pleasure Beach in 2010. 642 entered service in 1986, one of seven in the class, which was designed for 'one-man operation'. They were all withdrawn in 2011, when the tramway was closed for modernisation, and have all escaped the scrapman although not all are operational. 642 was one of two retained for heritage operations in Blackpool and ran as recently as 2021. North Pier is now the site of the triangular junction with the Blackpool North branch that opened in 2024.
