Highams Park
Highams Park level crossing and defunct signal box, on the Chingford branch, seen from upstairs windows of bus on route 212 about to turn right onto Winchester Road, at 14.48 on a miserably wet Monday, 28th October 2024. The line here was opened by the GER in 1873 and Highams Park station is out of view further north to the left. This is a very pleasant residential part of east London with a real sense of community about it, centred around the station. The line became part of London Overground in 2015.
