Moorswater Viaduct

D1054 'Western Governor' working the 0700 Bradford to Penzance service opens up after crossing Moorswater Viaduct, Liskeard, in September 1973. The Western came on at Plymouth. There was always a loco change in those days on this train. A Holbeck Peak was the normal power from Leeds to Plymouth. The loco had just had a repaint at Plymouth Laira depot and would remain in service until November 1976. This footbridge was a great place to watch the trains. It was busy on summer Saturdays with plenty of Westerns in 1973.
