Accrington

On the last day of 6M43/6E43, Preston Dock bitumen trains, it had to go wrong! The loaded train for Preston slipped to a standstill in Kitson Wood tunnel, on the climb to Copy Pit, leading to a delay of 212 minutes and much disruption to passenger services. The returning empties are seen at Accrington station hauled by 56105. There was some debate as to whether or not there would be a headboard, in the event no headboard and no fuss as 6E43, Preston to Haverton Hill passes by with no return in the foreseeable future.
