Wennington
During 2023, the Lancaster bound platform at Wennington was closed for several weeks as its only access, the footbridge, was closed as the steps had been inspected and found to be unsafe 71102. Passengers for Wennington were being bussed from Bentham station, and from there the bus would take others to Lancaster and Carnforth - see image 84249. A normal service was resumed after this semi-permanent repair had been effected. These are the steps down to the Lancaster platform on 4th December 2024. A similar set has been installed on the Skipton platform.
