Looking south from platform 4 at Newcastle, at 14.01 on Tuesday, 17th December 2024 while waiting to go home on the 14.26 LNER service to King's Cross, having travelled up two days earlier on the 08.52 Lumo service for the Ashington line reopening and meeting my friend Robert, editor of "Today's Railways" magazine.
