Portrack Viaduct

The viaduct over the Nith at Portrack was replaced around Christmas 2003 on a slightly different alignment with a part of the earlier trackbed visible to the left of this shot from June 2006. The train is 6M32, the 09.44 Greenburn - Ratcliffe PS and peeping out from the undergrowth is a Ruston shunter on a section of private track in the grounds of Portrack House.
