Clifton and Lowther

Transpennine Express 397006 passes Clifton, south of Penrith, working 1S57 1212 Liverpool Lime Street to Carlisle on the 25th January 2025. The former Eden Valley Railway branched off to the right just below the line of trees and passed through Clifton Moor, Cliburn, Temple Sowerby, Kirkby Thore, Appleby East, Warcop and Musgrave before arriving into Kirkby Stephen. The line closed in 1962, however all stations but Kirkby Thore remain 63 years later.
