The low, late afternoon spring sun was covering Appleby station with long shadows on Tuesday, 25th March 2025, as GB Railfreight class 69 no. 69001 'Mayflower' passed through working 0Z34, 1601 Hellifield Goods Loops to Carlisle Kingmoor TMD, at the end of a very busy day of route refreshers on the S&C.
