Bamber Bridge
The signaller at Preston PSB was yet to clear the road for the Colne service, approaching the station from the west, as Northern 195131 passed underneath the unusual structure holding up Bamber Bridge Signal Box. This was 1B23, 1023 York to Blackpool North on 9th April 2025. The signal box controls the level crossing on the main road at Bamber Bridge and were it not for the busy nature of the road these duties would have surely been passed to the Power Signal Box just a handful of miles away.
