Carnforth Shed [LNWR]
Long term stored locomotives at Carnforth Steamtown, viewed from the south end of the Barrow platform on 21st May 2025. In green primer is 47776, although the number of long scrapped 47555 has been hand written on the cabside. Behind the 47 is a derelict 37 with cut out cabside number panel, 08418 which worked in the yard here until fairly recently, and 47787. There are numerous other stored locos here along with the large operational fleet of 37s, 47s and 57s.
