Kidsgrove station is staffed and managed by East Midlands Railway, whose trains operate from Crewe to Newark Castle. London Northwestern and Northern also operate regular stopping services that call here and Avanti and Cross Country trains pass through without stopping. On 4th June 2025, 221121 hurried through Platform 1 with a Bournemouth bound service. Platform 2 is for trains towards Manchester and forms a 'V' with Platform 3, which is for trains from Crewe towards Stoke. Platform 4 is for trains to Crewe.
