Ordsall Chord
A view of the Ordsall Chord bridge on a warm summer evening, 18th June 2025. What looks like a canal is in fact the River Irwell, which can often be flowing a lot faster than this. The river span is the well known part of the Ordsall Chord but the majority of it is elevated on a viaduct constructed at the same time.
