Portobello East Junction

A shot believed to date from 1973, of the track layout at Portobello East Junction prior to the abolition of the signal box in May of that year.
The view is looking east, with the Waverley Route going off to the right. Ahead, the bridge spanning the ECML, which carried the Lothian Lines from Niddrie North to Leith, is still in situ.
