Fetteresso Viaduct: Colas 70814, on its way to Caledonia paper mill with 6B38, is running thirty minutes early as it crosses Fetteresso Viaduct on 12th March 2021.
Paisley St James: View west from the station footbridge at Paisley St James station towards St James Junction in April 1953. Ex-Caledonian 0-6-0 no 57360 has just joined the main line off the former Paisley and Barrhead route with a lengthy train of empty mineral wagons. The crossover to the eastbound line is just behind the camera.
Driffield: View looking south from Beverley Road junction to Skerne Road level crossing and Driffield signal box alongside. The crossing is around 100 metres south west of River Head level crossing sited at the west end of Driffield station platforms.
Garelochhead: Ah, the red crunchy gravel of a WHL platform, like the approach to a country house. A Glasgow service pulls up at Garelochhhead in July 1997.
Birkhill: The delightful wooded setting of Birkhill station, Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway, as it was on 17th May 2016. The building was brought here from Monifieth on the Dundee to Aberdeen line when that station was rebuilt in 1988.
Fairlie: The Fairlie landslip site on 23rd March 2021. The track has just been replaced and the tamper was in action. However, the overhead line had still to be replaced at the time the photograph was taken.
Knightswood North Junction: A 334 comes up from Anniesland having passed under the Glasgow Dumbarton and Helensburgh, on the left, with which it will merge just east of Westerton station.
Fairlie: Looking down on the site of the major landslip at Fairlie, on 20th March 2021, with repair work apparently in its final stages although the track has still to be replaced.
Carlisle Kingmoor Shed: Portrait of one of Carlisle Kingmoor's 3F 0-6-0T Jinty shed pilots, number 47641, on shed at Kingmoor in February 1966. It was withdrawn from service at the end of December that year.
Crook o' Lune Viaduct [West]: Just to the Halton side of the westerly Crook o' Lune viaduct the old railway cutting was filled in after closure and had to be partially excavated when the Caton to Lancaster trackbed cycle path was opened. This small tunnel replaces an old occupation bridge, part of whose sidewalls can still be seen, and a piece of artwork has been placed over the entrance. Duck as you pass through! View towards Halton on 26th February 2021.
Bishopton: 380019 rushes non-stop through Bishopton on 27 April 2017 with a Glasgow bound service.
