Rodney Street Tunnel: The north end of Rodney Street Tunnel was infilled with rubble in 1997, long before Sustrans opened it out again.
Langbank: Fairburn 2-6-4 tank no 42258 approaching Langbank on 10 July 1962 with the 5.25pm to Gourock.
Sessay: Colas Rail operated, Turkish built, General Electric Class 70 70801 heads north towards Thirsk on 24 March 2021 with the empty bogie cement tanks on the return working to Oxwellmains cement works, from Hunslet East Yard, Leeds sited on the branch running from opposite Neville Hill TMD. This loco was initially brought to the UK as a demonstrator loco, with the running number 70999!, until renumbered when purchased by Colas who also ordered a further 16No new North American built versions.
Albert Road Level Crossing: The level crossing at Albert Road, at the entrance to Leith Docks, was once a busy spot, but it is a long time since these barriers moved. To emphasize how 'OOU' it is, the gate to the docks has a mesh fence in front of it. That's belt and braces.
East Finchley: View from East Finchley, LUL Northern Line, looking south with a train of 1995 stock to Kennington via Charing Cross, just departed and descending steeply into tunnel on 1st April 2021. The tracks in the centre now lead only to Highgate depot but used to continue to Finsbury Park with the Alexandra Palace branch making a trailing connection just beyond the depot. Had the pre-war plan to hand over the Northern Heights steam lines to London Transport been fully completed, these tracks would now be used by peak hour trains from Finsbury Park to High Barnet and Bushey Heath. The Alexandra Palace branch would have had an all-day service of Northern Line trains from Finsbury Park with passengers on that section and, outside peak hours, destined for High Barnet and Bushey Heath changing at Highgate. They could still do so until Finsbury Park to Alexandra Palace closed in 1954.
Bamber Bridge: GBRF may be having some Class 56s re-engined to Class 69s at the moment but Colas is one operator keeping Class 56s in work. 56090 and 56105 are seen with the 6E32 Preston Docks to Lindsey Oil Refinery empty bitumen tanks to the east of Bamber Bridge on 7 April 2021.
