Donibristle Platform: GBRf 66767 (unnamed) and 66745 'Modern Railways The First 50 Years' pass Donibristle with a Laurencekirk to Millerhill spent ballast working on 28 March 2021.
Polkemmet Junction: One of the tasks given to Bathgate's J36 65267 on 15th February 1965 was to bank a westbound coal train up the hill to Armadale. I was quietly watching the spectacle as the loco came past, not planning a photograph, but had to grab the camera quickly when I saw my young brother grinning down at me from the footplate! Unknown to me, he had got himself invited on to the footplate by the very affable crew!
Halfway Viaduct: Halfway Viaduct, west of Ballinhassig station on the way to Bandon, seen in June 2020.
Walkden: The entrance to Walkden station in April 2021. This leads via two flights of stairs to the island platform with its surviving L&YR canopy. The ticket office is on a corridor between the two sets of stairs and anyone seeking to make Walkden more accessible will need an ingenious solution. The bridge on the left carries the line to Manchester. That on the right used to carry three sets of tracks but now just the Wigan line.
Nuneaton: The ersatz frosted glass drop glasses on the doors of the ersatz Midland Pullman (see image [[75173]]) look rather good, actually.
Parton [WJR]: The southbound platform at Parton viewed from a northbound service on 26 January 2018. Facilities for the passenger are basic but it does have a 'Harrington Hump'.
Bo'ness: Ex-BSC Clydebridge Steelworks No 1 R&H 165DE 412439, photographed in the yard at SRPS Boness in January 2005.
Quarter: Fourth District Lanarkshire Map from 1913 of Quarter area, note the station was a wee walk from the village. Map is part of a book rescued by myself during renovation works.
Garngad: The site of Garngad station looking north to where the CGU pierces the embankment of the [[Garnkirk and Glasgow Railway]]. [[Garngad Yard]] was to the right and the line to the [[Provan Gas Works]].
Huyton: Northern 323229 is displaying the destination as Liverpool Lime Street. However this train at Huyton was heading east on 22 March 2019.
