Haymarket: An Avanti West Coast service for London Euston makes its first stop on 26 May 2021.
Coborn Road [2nd]: The remains of the north side platform at Coborn Road, a mile or so from Liverpool Street, seen from the 10.18 service to Clacton-on-Sea, on 1st June 2021. This station was one of several closed in 1916 as a WWI economy, the others being Bishopsgate Low Level and Globe Road on the main line and Cambridge Heath and London Fields on the Enfield Town, Chingford and Cambridge lines. Bishopsgate Low Level and Globe Road never reopened but the other three all reopened in 1919. However, Coborn Road closed again in 1946 when the first stage of the LUL Central Line extension from Liverpool Street to Stratford rendered it redundant.
Maxwell Park: 380020 leaves Maxwell Park, with a Cathcart Circle service, on 7th June 2021.
Lea Road: During a June 2021 towpath walk, to photograph the new Lea Viaduct (in the background) over the railway and Lancaster Canal, I couldn't resist this Canal and River Trust maintenance boat, propelling a dumb barge, heading east towards the Lea Road C&RT wharf, just along the road from the site of Lea Road station.
Edinburgh Waverley: It is 19.41, and our carriage for Tweedbank awaits. Everyone in our coach had fast food bought on the station, giving a bit of a party atmosphere - appropriately, as this was our first ride South on the Borders Railway. Ironically, we used a diesel train to return to our electric car.
Auldbar Road: The old signal box at Auldbar Road, looking very presentable in 2021.
Old Roan: Merseyrail 507007 arrives at Old Roan on 8 June 2021 with an Ormskirk to Liverpool service. The platforms here are on an embankment so the lift shafts and stairs take you down to an underpass to exit the station.
Kirkland Yard: Looking west along the cleared track through Kirkland Yard in June 2021.
Norbreck North [Tram]: Millennium tram 718, a rebuilt Balloon car, was further modified with widened doors when the Blackpool tramway was modernised. For several years it was in the white and purple livery of the new Flexity trams but is now in more traditional cream and green. On Saturday 19th June 2021, 718 was being used on regular services (rather than Heritage tours) and is seen here calling at Norbreck North while running between Pleasure Beach and Little Bispham to supplement Flexity trams running the full length of the tramway.
Kirkland Yard: The site of Kirkland Yard viewed from the east end in 1989, some years before the Kingdom of Fife Railway Preservation Society compound was developed. No sidings remained here. The line on the left still served [[Methil Power Station]] and (very occasionally) the small yard alongside [[Methil Dock No 1]]. The dirt path going off to the far right follows, roughly, the course of the original [[Leven Dock Railway]].
Forth Bridge: Transport Minister, Graeme Dey visited Network Rail’s £7.5m project to refurbish and repaint the North Queensferry approach span to the world famous Forth Bridge.
Kingsknowe: ScotRail 322482 photographed at Kingsknowe on 18 July 2009 with a Glasgow Central - Carstairs - Edinburgh Waverley - North Berwick service. The EMU was working its way back to its home patch following one of its regular overnight servicing visits to Glasgows Shields Depot.
