Claughton: The garden on the trackbed of the old Lune Valley line is looking well established these days. The replica Midland signal cabin installed by the householder still overlooks the scene, along with several semaphore signals.

Chalk Farm: Exterior of Chalk Farm station, LUL Northern Line, unusually triangular in shape due to its siting between Adelaide Road on the left and Haverstock Hill on the right. In the background on the right, a so-called New Routemaster is descending on trans-Thames route 168 from Hampstead Heath, South End Green to Old Kent Road. This view is on 22nd June 2021, the 114th Anniversary of the station's opening as part of the Charing Cross, Euston & Hampstead Railway (renamed Northern Line by the LPTB in 1937) and designed by Leslie W. Green who died in 1908 aged only 34.

Raskelf: TransPennine Express units 185123 and 185129 run down the up slow line approaching the former Raskelf station with the 16.05 Redcar Central to Manchester Airport working on 30 May 2021. The overhead line support is making it look to be a single 6 car unit by covering the gap between the two units. The class 185 DMUs are the staple stock on services to Redcar, and on many of the Scarborough line shuttle workings to / from York that were implemented during Covid to replace the loco powered push pull workings to / from Liverpool.

Gorey Pier [Jersey]: A 29th May 2021 view of the site of Gorey Pier station, the former eastern terminus of the standard-gauge Jersey Eastern Railway. The 5 mile line from St Helier (Snow Hill) even offered through tickets to Paris via the Gorey-Carteret (Normandy) ferry and onward French train services! The railway closed completely in 1929, but was re-opened as a narrow-gauge line for transport of sand by the occupying German forces in 1942. No trace of the railway is left at the Gorey Pier site, but it now serves as an important stop on the island's excellent, extensive bus service network. Dumbarton Central: A Helensburgh service calls at Dumbarton Central with the Kilsyth Hills as a backdrop. The half-hourly service from here to Cumbernauld has been a casualty of the emergency timetable and Platform 3 is out of regular use.

Waterloo International: The former Waterloo International Eurostar terminus, now rehabilitated as platforms 20 to 24 of the main National Rail terminus, on 7th June 2021. When opened on 14th November 1994, this formed a western extension to the 1848 terminus and remained in use until 13th November 2007 when it was replaced by St. Pancras International as London's Eurostar terminus, with the completion and opening of HS1. Treated virtually as a separate station in those days, after 2007 it lay unused until temporarily reopened from August to September 2017 while work took place at platforms 1 to 8. Following a period of redevelopment, platforms 20 to 22 reopened permanently for suburban trains as part of the main station on 10th December 2018 with platforms 23 and 24 reopening permanently on 20th May 2019.

Paisley Canal [1st]: 4MT 2-6-0 76093 pilots 5MT 4-6-0 73124 through Paisley Canal on the 17.33 from St Enoch to Kilmarnock. By 1964 double heading was not unusual on this train, and several interesting combinations occurred.
