Greenock Central: BR Standard class 5 4-6-0 no 73064 arriving at Greenock Central on 25 July 1963 with a Gourock - Glasgow train.
St Rollox Works: Night shift at Railcare Springburn in 1997. The building still stands. This is the west elevation of the St Rollox Works which faces Springburn Road.
Grouville [Jersey]: A 30th May 2021 view of the former Grouville station building on the Jersey Eastern Railway. Closed completely in 1929, the railway infrastructure in the immediate area was revived by the occupying German forces from 1942, conveying no fewer than 1m tonnes of sand from Grouville Bay to various sites of military fortification works on the southern and west coasts of the island.
Carlisle Kingmoor TMD: June 2021 view north from Etterby Road bridge to the DRS Kingmoor Traction Depot, the former BR Kingmoor Diesel Depot located opposite the nature reserve created on the site of 12A Carlisle Kingmoor Steam Shed. Locos stabled on the depot are L-R Former WCML Thunderbird 57309; Bi-Mode 88004; Chiltern liveried 68013; and partially hidden 'Tractor' 37407.
Cruden Bay: This standard, at the former site of Cruden Bay station, once supported the catenary of the Cruden Bay Hotel tramway. It was an unusually attractive catenary mast.
Halfway [Brighton]: Volk's Electric Railway train from Black Rock to Aquarium waiting in the loop at Halfway station, for the train this photo was taken from travelling in the opposite direction to clear the single line, before it can go on its way, on 14th June 2021.
Edinburgh Waverley: 47715 at Waverley after being converted to push pull operation, and newly repainted in Scotrail livery. This photo was taken in 1985, prior to a ceremony on 24th August when it was formally named 'Haymarket' by Robbie Coltrane at the depot open day. The loco is now preserved. It had a spell of use on the Wensleydale Railway (see [[39644]]) but is presently (2021) reported to be with Harry Needle at Worksop.
Fort William: A quiet moment at Fort William on Sunday 27th June 2021 due to industrial action. The Caledonian Sleeper stock on the left (which departed for Edinburgh at 1900) and on the right 156453 and 156474 which would leave at 08.30 the following morning for Mallaig.
Carstairs: GNSR 4-4-0 No.49 'Gordon Highlander' pauses at Carstairs on 16th October 1965, during its final outing before retirement to museum life. The Branch Line Society railtour had called at Bellshill, Law Junction, Ponfeigh and Lanark and continued to the Edinburgh area, visiting Roslin and Loanhead. The return journey to Glasgow was via Bathgate.
Scorton [Lancashire] [2nd]: The Lancaster to Carlisle (via the S&C) tours ran as 'The Fellsman' for many years but in 2021 are known as 'The Pendle Dalesman'. 46115 is making good progress approaching the Wyre Viaduct at Scorton on the last section of the return leg, just after 9pm on the evening of 29th June.
Helensburgh Upper: GBRF 66736 restarts from Helensburgh Upper, with the North Blyth to Fort William loaded alumina tanks, on a wet 24 June 2021.
