Holt: GWR 2-8-0T 4277 at Holt on 10th June 2024. What a lovely place this is if you can park. Lovely properties which cost a fortune to buy. Shame the NNR cannot expand but as the bypass road was built on much of the trackbed it would cost a fortune to extend anywhere.

Woodacre Crossing: One of the few Class 90s still in Freightliner green and yellow livery, 90043, heads south at Woodacre with the Coatbridge to Basford Hall evening intermodal service. 90005 was the lead locomotive.

Cameron Bridge: 158728 with 170393, from Edinburgh Waverley to Leven, calling at Cameron Bridge at 15.20 on Sunday, 2nd June 2024, the first day of passenger services on the reopened Leven line. The train has just passed the site of the original Cameron Bridge station that had closed with the line in 1969.

Leeds: 158909 arrives at Leeds station on 5th June 2024. This is one of the ten former dedicated West Yorkshire PTE units that initially ran in red and cream livery.

Aylsham: The Bure Valley Railway is a 15in. gauge line which was opened in 1990 on part of the formation of the former railway from Wroxford to County School. This line had closed to passengers in 1952 and the final remaining section closed to goods in the 1970s. The railway now runs between Wroxham and Aylsham and this shot from August 2012 shows no. 9, a 2-6-4T, not far short of its destination at Aylsham.

Acklington: A view looking north to the former Goods Shed at Acklington station, sited to the rear of Station House which sits behind the northbound platform. This is now converted for residential use. The short spur to the shed came off the main line immediately south of the road bridge that crosses at the north end of the station.

Diggle Junction: On the last stage of the climb to Standedge Tunnel, 185122 leads 185103 on a Trans Pennine service from Manchester Airport to Saltburn on 19th June 2024. The train is running alongside the Huddersfield Narrow Canal, approaching the signal box and loop at Diggle Junction.
