Diggle Junction: The track in the foreground occupies the solum of the goods lines south of Diggle Junction. These diverged here from the original Standedge route swinging left onto the Micklehurst Loop. Almost immediately they entered Butterhouse Tunnel, now blocked off, and then dropped down through Uppermill and other stations to rejoin the main line at Stalybridge. In this June 2024 scene, 185144 climbs past the divergence with a TPE Manchester to York service.

Maida Vale: LU 1972 stock arriving at Maida Vale with a northbound Bakerloo Line short working from Elephant & Castle to Queen's Park, at 15.05 on Saturday, 20th April 2024. Note the traditional station name roundel. Bakerloo Line trains once ran all the way to Watford Junction over main line tracks but in 1965, these became peak hours only, the all-day service terminating at Queen's Park, and ceased altogether in 1982. However, in 1984, an all-day service of Bakerloo trains was restored between Queen's Park and Harrow & Wealdstone although some trains, as seen here, still terminate at either Queen's Park or Stonebridge Park.
