West Brompton: West Brompton looking towards Kensington Olympia overground line. To the right are the Underground platforms. A hot sunny late June morning.
Barons Court: LU S7 stock, District Line to Ealing Broadway, departing from Barons Court, an interchange with the Piccadilly Line that serves the inner sides of the two island platforms, at 14.59 on Saturday, 6th July 2024. While the famous roundel nameboards do exist here, this sign, reminiscent of the old British Rail signs on the former Eastern Region, is unusual and unique for a London Underground station. Also, there is no apostrophe in Barons, unlike at nearby Earl's Court station.
North Walsham: North Walsham, looking very basic, with just a bus stop style waiting shelter. Not much fun on a wet Norfolk June day.
Sowerby Bridge: When the L&YR moved Sowerby Bridge station eastwards in 1976 it was intended to be an important junction with the projected line to Littleborough and a large building was built in the 'V' of that junction. Prior to 1980, this view from the station approach would have been of an imposing building, at right angles to the surviving line and platforms. In the event the proposed line petered out near Rishworth and the branch railmotor service did not even warrant full platforms being constructed. The former office buildings on the left, now refreshment rooms, are a fortunate survivor.
Bo'ness: Swedish Railways no.1313 heads a Bo'ness - Kinneil Halt shuttle service in 1985, seen from the CR 0-4-4T no.419 bringing up the rear.
Killin Junction: View east at Killin Junction in 2018 showing the foundations of the building on the island platform.

Hackney Wick: 378231, London Overground to Stratford, departing from its penultimate stop at Hackney Wick on Saturday, 24th February 2024. This stretch of line was freight only between 1942 and 1979.
