Sheringham (North Norfolk): GWR 2-8-0T 4277, on loan from the Paignton & Dartmouth Steam Railway for the 2024 season, at Sheringham on a wet June day again.
Sowerby Bridge [1st]: The first station in Sowerby Bridge was near the tunnel but replaced in 1875 by the station on the current site, several hundred yards to the east. The goods depot was built on the site, opposite the engine shed, and this building is believed to be the L&YR Goods Depot Office. Note the substantial gate post on the left, marking the goods yard entrance. Its opposite number was removed when a supermarket was built on the goods yard site.
Brechin: The Angus Railway Group's 1974 'Buchan Belle' railtour departs from Brechin, with the abandoned signalbox and engine shed in the background. Neither survived into the preservation era.
Barons Court: South side of the delightfully-preserved entrance to Barons Court station, LU District and Piccadilly Lines, in fine sunshine after heavy storms, at 15.01 on Saturday, 6th July 2024. The line here was opened by the Metropolitan District Railway in 1874 but this station was not opened until 1906 at the same time as the Great Northern, Piccadilly & Brompton Railway, now part of the much-extended Piccadilly Line.
Mulben: 44871 and 45407 get stuck into the climb as they lift the 'Great Britain XV1' tour from Boat o' Brig towards Mulben on day 6, 18th April 2024, which took it from Inverness to Edinburgh via Aberdeen. 47802 was on the rear of the train.
Killin Junction: The stump of the down starter at the Oban end of Killin Junction station, close to the site of the long gone west box (closed 1935).
Mallaig: 61401 about to leave Mallaig with the 5.28 pm (observation car train).
