Carlisle Canal Shed: A motley crew of trainspotters is beginning its invasion of Carlisle Canal shed on 28 April 1963. Ivatt 4MT 2-6-0 No 43000 is prominent in a mixed bag of locos.

Watchet: 6695 was completed at Armstrong Whitworth's Newcastle works in October 1928. It was withdrawn from service in July 1964, after completing more than 620,000 miles, and sold to Woodham's Scrapyard at Barry in South Wales. The locomotive left the Barry scrapyard in May 1979 following its purchase by the 56XX Tank Group and was returned to steam in September 2022. Seen here departing from Watchet with a train from Minehead to Bishop's Lydeard.

Arpley Junction: 20013 and 20141 head a coal mgr service for Fiddlers Ferry from Parkside away from Arpley Junction in 1991. Class 20 were late to the party here and at one time they would have been very rare visitors. Most mgr were in the hands of class 47 and class 56 locos when I fisrt came to the Warrington area .

Gutcher Ferry Terminal: The MV 'Geira' (of 1988) backs out of Gutcher Ferry Terminal, Yell, Shetland, with a crossing to Fetlar in June 2024. Services to and from Unst also use this jetty.
