Milford Junction [Yorkshire]: Anglo Scottish coal empties were much in demand when Scottish Coal was sending vast amounts of coal down to the English power stations. Here 66167 departs Milford Junction on 31st March 2003, with empties for Falkland Junction which will load out of one of the open cast mines in Ayrshire. There are a few canopy wagons along with the other open wagons.

Eccles: 331111 pulls away from Eccles with a stopping service from Piccadilly to Lime Street on 2nd October 2024. The train took six minutes from Deansgate. It was a short walk to the Eccles tram stop but then twenty five minutes, albeit very interesting, to return to Deansgate via the old docks.

Crouch Hill: 66524, 4M56 London Gateway Freightliner to Garston FLT, passing Crouch Hill station on the London Overground Barking Riverside to Gospel Oak GOBLIN line, in sunlight and shadow at 14.16 on Thursday, 24th October 2024, a beautiful sunny and unseasonably warm day.

Strowan Tunnel: A little east of Strowan Tunnel the Crieff and Comrie Railway passed through this rather deep cutting. It looks as if someone has intentionally knocked down trees into the cutting!
