Tarbert Pier: Unless inclement weather prevails, it's unusual for the vessel working the Tarbert (Loch Fyne) to Portavadie route to be sitting at its mooring in the early afternoon. In the winter timetable it’s normal for one return trip to Lochranza to be made during this period. These are extraordinary times for Calmac and in an effort to maintain capacity for Arran passengers the summer Claonaig to Lochranza service has been extended until 13 November rendering this trip unnecessary. 'Loch Tarbert' was due to recommence its normal service to Portavadie at 15:15.

London Bridge: There used to be morning and evening loco hauled passenger services, to and from London Bridge. Depending on the years East Grinstead and Uckfield were the places served. Here is 33052 arriving at London Bridge. These services made a change from all the units. A very busy station now rebuilt. The last hauled services ran on 9th May 1986. The Hither Green based 33s were more difficult to get for haulage than the Easteigh based ones so these services provided a good way at the time to get some HG 33s in the book.
