North Greenwich [Jubilee]: The ticket hall at North Greenwich, LU Jubilee Line, on Saturday, 30th November 2024. This station is not to be confused with the earlier North Greenwich that was on the north bank of the Thames, terminus of the Millwall Extension Railway, that closed in 1926. Between 1987 and 1999, the DLR's original Island Gardens station occupied the site before the DLR was extended to Lewisham, which saw the line being diverted through a new below ground Island Gardens station and under the Thames before surfacing alongside and interchanging with Greenwich National Rail station.
