Colindale: Colindale station, LU Northern Line, was temporarily closed in June 2024 for a full-scale rebuild to begin and reopened in December 2024 even though the work is nowhere near finished. This can be seen in this view of the new ticket hall, still in the early stages of construction, and which will be above the tracks, unlike the existing ticket hall which is to the left of them with the island platform in a cutting.

Ayr MPD: Railfair at Ayr Depot on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th October 1983. J36 'Maude' North British Railway 0-6-0 was a static exhibit.

Ladybank: A photograph, thought to date from 1972, taken at Ladybank of an NBR trespass notice. In addition to the subject of the shot ( I think the post still exists ) the signal box, a variety of signals, the former engine shed and a number of sidings are also visible.

Stow Park: 66594 near Stow Park, with the Tees Dock to Felixstowe liner, on a bright but very cold 2nd January 2025.

Shawclough and Healey: Looking towards Bacup, through the 43yd Whitworth Road Tunnel, on 27th December 2024. The brickwork of the eastern portal is completely different to that on the west side. Rochdale to Bacup passenger services were always less important than goods traffic - stone, coal, cotton and more specialised loads and from this tunnel portal a long siding branched off to Fieldhouse Carpet Mill. Passenger trains ceased in 1947, a temporary closure that was made permanent in 1949, but freight to Whitworth continued until 1967, generally needing two goods trains per day and sometimes more to clear the traffic from various yards.

St Fillans: The bridge at the west end of St Fillans station has been removed. The station site now has lodges, on what must be an interesting elevated site.

Preston: This TPE in platform 6 at Preston was not in service on 26th April 2022. TPE 397011 in platform 5 was on a service to Manchester Airport from Edinburgh and CAF 195126 in platform 4 on a service to Windermere.
