Colindale: Colindale station, LU Northern Line, was temporarily closed in June 2024 for a full rebuilding. Although incomplete, it reopened in a temporary state in December 2024. A month later, a train of LU 1995 stock on an Edgware to Battersea Power Station working arrives at the station on 18th January 2025. Above the station at a higher level in the background, the new ticket hall over the station is still in an early stage of construction.
Oldham Werneth: 142035 calls at Oldham Werneth, with a train for Manchester Victoria, in March 2009. The station closed on 3rd October 2009 as part of the conversion of the Oldham Loop to a Metro service but never reopened. Needham Market: 31455 approaching Needham Market, with the 1320hrs Parkeston to Blackpool North service, on 7th May 1988. How Iq miss trains like this, that were pleasent to travel in around East Anglia and further west.
Shawclough and Healey: Looking towards Rochdale at Shawclough and Healey on a misty 27th December 2024. This is the Whitworth Road Tunnel, 43 yards long, for the former single track line between Bacup and Rochdale. After closure to freight in 1967 some sections were turned into cycleways, including this one. Shawclough and Healey station itself was a few hundred yards towards Bacup from here. It closed to passengers in 1947 and to goods traffic in 1964 and has since been completely built over.

Barnehurst: This bridge near Barnehurst, in that part of Kent now within Greater south-east London, carries the 1895 Bexleyheath Loop between Bexleyheath (to the left) and Barnehurst (to the right) stations, seen here from the front upstairs windows of a no. 99 bus from Bexleyheath to Woolwich, one of those indirect 'round the houses' bus routes, at 13.09 on Saturday, 30th November 2024.
St Fillans: This row of railwayman's cottages is to the north west of the former station at St Fillans, approached by the road which passed under the line at the west end of the station.
Oakley [MR]: A lucky capture at Oakley, between Bedford and Wellingborough, in June 2004. The former station building can be seen beyond the bridge as a northbound HST overhauls 66555 at the head of the Forders - Cricklewood empty binliner working. This train ran north from Bedford to run round at Wellingborough before heading south to North London.
