Warcop: Industrial Locomotive TH130C stands in the yard at Warcop on the Eden Valley Railway on 2nd February 2025. This loco was rebuilt by Thomas Hill in the 1960s but was originally John Fowler 0-4-0DM 22971, built for ROF Birtley. The rebuilt loco spent time at MOD sites across the country including Bicester and Eastriggs before being taken to the Haig Colliery Museum when withdrawn. The Eden Valley Railway Trust acquired the loco in 2010 but it still awaits restoration 15 years later.

Golant: This location is St Winnow, looking across the Fowey River between Lostwithiel and Golant, in November 2012. 66005 is seen with 6G06, loaded clay from Goonbarrow Junction to Carne Point Fowey. This shot is better with the tide in and the sun out in the morning before 1100 as by the time this working showed up the sun was a long way round. In 2025 there are few clay trains running and the loaded train will not pass here until well after lunchtime.

Llanelli: The 'Sospan Fach' tour at LLanelli Sandy Junction, with better weather than earlier in the day. A Swindon Class 120 3-car DMU was the motive power for this interesting tour from Gloucester to West Wales, run by the Dean Forest Railway Preservation Society. The line under the bridge in the background was the branch to Cynheidre.

Innerpeffray Bridge: Crieff is distant on the right in this view. The curving line to Methven and Perth can be seen in the middle of the view with a short gap between the site of Innerpeffray station (centre) and bridge over the Water of Pow.

New Cumnock: When this shot was taken in September 2018 the 09.13 from Glasgow Central to the G&SW terminated at New Cumnock. Signalling at the station did not provide for a scheduled northbound passenger train to depart from the up platform so the points on the northbound crossover had to be clipped and the stock then ran as 5A19, the 10.25 ECS to Auchinleck where it then formed a service back to Central.
