Brinnington Junction: Looking north eastwards at the site of Brinnington Junction where until 1966 a chord to Reddish Junction diverged left from the main line to Woodley, which then linked on to the Woodhead route. Both routes from here are now cycling greenways but the chord route now diverges at a right angle a little further on.
