Whitworth: This is the site of Whitworth station (closed 1947), looking towards Rochdale from the now filled in bridge at the Bacup end of the station, in February 2025. The station approach ramp is on the left. In the 1950s this would be a view of a small disused station with a single track passing through and, where the sheltered housing is now, a goods shed and yard. The last goods train left in 1967. Behind the camera a road runs along the old trackbed, all the way to the site of Facit station.
