Armathwaite: On a less than perfect day LNER V2 4771 'Green Arrow', (now incarcerated in the National Railway Museum) passes through Baron Wood near Armathwaite with a 'Cumbrian Mountain Express'. Black and White film used due to the weather conditions and the ETHEL behind the loco! Taken with a Mamiya 645 1000s sometime in the 1980s.
Carstairs: 303043 has arrived at Carstairs, on an unrecorded date in 1990, with the evening rush hour working which from memory originated at Anderston.
Doublebois: 45015 has the 0650 Swindon to Penzance service at Dobwalls, east of Doublebois, in August 1984. Peaks were regular performers in Cornwall from January 1970 to October 1985.
Esslemont: Esslemont station looking towards Ellon in April 2025. This view from the old trackbed, now the Formartine and Buchan cycleway. The Aberdeen platform has disappeared. The station closed in 1952, thirteen years before passenger services to Fraserburgh and Peterhead finished.
Haymarket: Power car 43133 is on the rear of the 11.01 from Aberdeen to Edinburgh as it enters Haymarket Tunnel. Multi-storey office blocks dominate the local scene with more to come.
