Auchnagatt: Auchnagatt, one of two stations between Ellon and Maud Junction, looking northwards on 15th April 2025. Homes have been built on the northbound platform where the station buildings once stood. Sited in the heart of the village the station lasted until closed with the line in 1965, although freight passed through for a further fourteen years - see image [[11498]] from a passing railtour in 1974.

Cannon Street: Rebuilt exterior of London Cannon Street, seen from passing RM 1941 on Heritage Routemaster route T15 from Tower Hill to Trafalgar Square, at 15.36 on Saturday, 10th May 2025. This station was opened by the South Eastern Railway in 1866 at the end of a short branch across the Thames from a triangular junction between London Bridge and what is now Waterloo East but only the line towards London Bridge is now in regular use. Badly damaged by enemy action during the 'Blitz', it was not until the late 1950s/early 1960s that rebuilding began and all that is left of the 1866 station are the twin towers at the country end, overlooking the Thames.

Dalgety Bay: GBRf 66743 brings up the rear of a private charter of the 'Royal Scotsman' from Edinburgh to Boat of Garten, then Tain after reversal at Aviemore. Hence the need for top 'n' tailing with 66746.

Kilknockie Viaduct: To the west of the north portal of the northern Glen Farg tunnel the line crossed the five arch Kilknockie Viaduct, not as well known as its four arch neighbour in Glen Farg. In the distance is the location close to Balmanno where the motorway obliterates the former railway trackbed. It occupies the route of the line until Bridge of Earn.

Drummuir: A lovely sunny May afternoon sees a pair of Class 108s arrive at Drummuir with the 16.20 Keith - Dufftown. Passengers were thin on the ground with one person alighting and the gentleman with orange jacket joining the train. He had been tidying up the flower tubs when I arrived to take my photograph.
