Balmanno Signal Box (1890-1926)Opened on the Glenfarg Line (North British Railway).
Description
This signal box was located south of Bridge of Earn [2nd] and north of Glenfarg. There was a crossover only. It was south of the village of Dron and west of Balmanno Castle.
To the east it is likely there was a halt at Balmanno Platform.
This box closed in 1926, coming under control of the box at Bridge of Earn [2nd].
The site has been obliterated by the M90 which follows the course of the former railway at this location.
