Description
This is a double track tunnel 1 mile 869 yards long.
Blea Moor Summit, 1151 ft, is within the tunnel close to the southern portal.
Blea Moor Sidings are at the south end of the tunnel and beyond that Ribblehead Viaduct.
Dent Head Viaduct is at the north end of the tunnel.
A footpath crosses the hillside above the tunnel. From this path the various air shafts and tailings of removed material from the tunnel's construction can be seen.
