Carberry Colliery Junction

Opened on the Macmerry Branch (North British Railway).

Description

Initially the mineral line to Carberry Colliery Pits Nos 2 and 3 was reached via a reversing spur on the east side of the line. It was reached from the north.

It was later altered to trail in just north of Smeaton with approach from the south.

On the mineral line, and a short distance from the junction, the Deans Pit was reached by reversal.
