This panel box was located on the Kyle of Lochalsh line, west of Dingwall Junction. It was between Dingwall No 1 LC and Dingwall Middle LC and was on the south side of the line. Dingwall No 2 LC is even further west.
The box opened with the building of a new bypass and main road north from Dingwall, Newton Road, and its new level crossing, Dingwall Middle LC.
The box closed in 1988 when the crossings were converted to automatic operation.
Prior to the box's opening the No 1 and No 2 crossings had crossing keepers.
