This was a two platform station. The main station building was on the eastbound platform. There were waiting rooms on each platform.
The goods yard was north of the line at the east end, approached from the east. The signal box was at the east end of the westbound platform opposite the goods yard.
The main building and a railway cottage remain standing.
A short branch ran to the East Fortune Hospital. This started from the east end of the station and ran westwards on the south side of the hospital buildings and north of East Fortune Airfield. The signal box was replaced in 1917, probably when the siding was put in.
The station closed to passengers in 1964 and the box closed in 1966.
The East Fortune Airfield is to the south west.
