Farnley Scar Tunnel (1834-1962)Description
This is a disused two track tunnel east of Corbridge. The line was diverted to the south in 1962.
The tunnel was originally single bore and was widened in 1844 to allow the line to be doubled between Hexham and Stocksfield.
