Junction
Garngaber Low Junction [1st] (1844-1860)
Opened on the Monkland and Kirkintilloch Railway.
Note: text in square brackets is added for clarity and was not part of the location's name.
This was the junction between the Monkland and Kirkintilloch Railway and the Edinburgh and Glasgow Railway's curve from Garngaber High Junction. The E&G line dropped quite steeply down to the older line and had a fairly tight curve to negotiate.
The junction was between East Claddens and Craigenbay.
Around 1860 it was moved further east to Muckcroft Level Crossing close to where the double track from the south east singled.
