This works was a scrapyard owned by the Motherwell Machinery and Scrap Co. It was a large fan of rails on the south side of Shieldmuir Junction. Approach was from the north west, off the loop running between Shields Colliery Junction and Shieldmuir Junction. The Craigneuk Works were to the west and Excelsior Iron and Steel Works to the east.
