Description
This is a two platform station dating from 1993 when the Rutherglen and Coatbridge Branch (Caledonian Railway) re-opened to local trains.
The station effectively replaces Langloan which was to the east and closed in 1964. On re-opening none of the local iron works served by the original station remained.
