This 13th century four tower castle is located east of Fort William, on the south bank of the River Lochy where it flows into the north end of Loch Linnhe. The castle is ruined but largely intact and can be visited. Historic Environment - Old Inverlochy Castle Just to the west is the Lochy Viaduct [Fort William] crossed by trains to Mallaig, such as The Jacobite steam train.
