Plean Quarry siding left the 'main line' of the Plean Colliery Branch (Scottish Central Railway) here. The siding was on the north side of the line and approached from Plean Junction direction. After 1895 it became the junction for Plean Colliery No 4 which was approached from the south west. A loop was laid out at the junction allowing trains to reverse going to and from no 4. The line closed in 1964.
