Opened on the Edinburgh and Hawick Railway (North British Railway).
Description
This was built as a double track five arch viaduct. At present it carries one track and a footpath, the Southern Upland Way . The railway track is on the north side, path on the south.
The bridge carried the double track Edinburgh and Hawick Railway of the North British Railway over the River Tweed until closure in 1969. The bridge became a footpath during the years of disuse. The railway was reinstated as a single track in 2015.
